**DUBAI** — Millions of households across sub-Saharan Africa are set to gain access to clean energy, clean cooking, and e-mobility solutions following the announcement of a first-of-a-kind electrification platform valued at up to $100 million. Unveiled during COP28, the strategic partnership brings together [Bboxx](https://www.bboxx.com/?ref=africainvestorreview.com), a data-driven super-platform, and [EnerTech](https://www.enertech.com.kw/?ref=africainvestorreview.com), a Kuwait-based investor and developer of end-to-end sustainability solutions.

The transformative alliance aims to expand Bboxx’s on-the-ground impact tenfold, scaling its reach from 3.6 million people to an estimated 36 million people by 2028\. Spanning regional hubs from Lagos to Nairobi, the initiative deploys essential services using Bboxx Pulse®, a fully integrated operating system coupled with an extensive physical distribution network. This infrastructure connects underserved communities with life-changing products, including solar power, clean cooking devices, smartphones, and smart financing, many for the very first time.

Funding from the inaugural deal with EnerTech is slated to commence rollout in the first quarter of 2024, significantly accelerating market penetration and addressing the critical climate finance gap in Africa.

The collaboration directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by expanding access to reliable, sustainable energy and supporting carbon reduction targets. Kuwait views the partnership as a foundational step toward advancing its broader green market objectives and reaching Net Zero by 2060.
