**ZURICH / LONDON** — Impact investment manager [**BlueOrchard**](https://www.linkedin.com/company/blueorchard-finance-ltd/home/?ref=africainvestorreview.com) (a member of the Schroders Group) has officially announced the successful first close of the **BlueOrchard Climate Action Mobilisation Fund (BOCAMF)** with **USD 250 million** in commitments secured.

The blended finance fund bridges the massive climate-financing gap in emerging and frontier economies, where requirements are projected to reach approximately USD 9 trillion annually by 2030, by channeling long-term institutional capital toward climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives.

## Innovative Blended Finance and Investment-Grade Structure

BOCAMF stands out as the first blended finance fund focused on emerging and frontier markets to issue notes carrying a publicly available investment-grade rating from a leading international credit rating agency.

The transaction architecture was co-created with private-sector participants and development finance institutions (DFIs) to satisfy strict regulatory requirements, such as Solvency UK Matching Adjustment eligibility for institutional life insurers:
