## Capital Recycling and Climate-Smart Agriculture Expansion

Founded in Kenya in 2012, [SunCulture](https://www.linkedin.com/company/sunculture-kenya-limited/?ref=africainvestorreview.com) has sold over 85,000 solar irrigation systems and pumps to smallholder farmers, deploying a "Pay-As-You-Grow" model that bundles equipment with affordable repayment schedules, insurance, and warranties.

Historically constrained by financing availability rather than end-user demand, the new securitization vehicle allows [SunCulture](https://www.linkedin.com/company/sunculture-kenya-limited/?ref=africainvestorreview.com) to rapidly recycle capital previously tied up in long-dated customer receivables.

> "Access to irrigation in Kenya has never been limited by farmer demand. It has been limited by the lack of affordable, scalable solutions. Solving that comes down to financing: whether it is available, what it costs, and how long it runs. This structure addresses all three and gives us the confidence to scale customer financing on long-term, FX protected capital. Faster recycling of capital means more farmers irrigating sooner," noted [**Samir Ibrahim**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/samiribrahim/?ref=africainvestorreview.com), Co-Founder and CEO of [SunCulture](https://www.linkedin.com/company/sunculture-kenya-limited/?ref=africainvestorreview.com).
