LAGOS — Nigerian church-technology startup Pewbeam has secured an undisclosed investment from venture studio and fund Resilience17 to accelerate the development of its artificial intelligence platform for live church services.

Founded by design engineer Israel Sobaloju, Pewbeam provides an AI-powered desktop application that listens live to sermons and automatically projects relevant Bible verses, presentation slides, and lyrics in real time. Engineered specifically to handle the dynamic rhythms and variable environments of physical sanctuaries, complete with offline-capable architecture and robust noise cancellation, the platform eliminates manual bottlenecks for media teams.

Managing live media projection during fast-paced worship services traditionally requires large, highly coordinated media teams manually tracking fast-changing scripture references and song lyrics. Pewbeam's software addresses this friction by leveraging specialized speech-recognition and natural language processing tailored to the cadence of dynamic preaching.

By incorporating robust offline-capable architecture, the platform ensures uninterrupted performance even in environments prone to intermittent internet connectivity.
