Vista Group Holding Launches Vista Bank France with €50M Capital
The Lilium Capital-backed financial conglomerate opens its Paris subsidiary to provide correspondent banking, trade finance, and corporate banking solutions linking West African markets with European capital.
PARIS & OUAGADOUGOU — Pan-African banking conglomerate Vista Group Holding, chaired by Simon Tiemtoré, officially launched operational activities for its European subsidiary, Vista Bank France, in Paris on Friday, October 16, 2026.
Capitalized with €50 million (~$54.5 million) in authorized capital, Vista Bank France becomes the first full-fledged subsidiary established in the European Union by a West African-owned banking group. The European unit is designed to serve as a financial bridge connecting West and Central African commercial corridors directly to European markets while eliminating reliance on third-party European correspondent banks.
Strategic Objectives & European Mandate
Following regulatory authorization from the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) and the European Central Bank (ECB), Vista Bank France will focus on three main lines of operational deployment:
- Correspondent Banking & Settlement: Delivers direct euro-denominated clearing, cross-border payment routing, and settlement services to Vista Group’s African subsidiaries across Guinea, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, and the wider UEMOA and CEMAC zones.
- Trade Finance Facilitation: Issues letters of credit, bank guarantees, and structured trade financing to import-export mid-caps operating across Europe and West Africa.
- Corporate Banking & Syndication: Arranges cross-border debt syndications and corporate facilities while reducing foreign exchange and intermediation transaction costs for African corporate clients.
High-Level Delegation & Regional Representation
The inauguration in Paris brought together prominent African government officials, central bank governors, and development finance institution (DFI) executives:

Global Expansion Strategy
The launch marks the initial step in Vista Group Holding's broader internationalization roadmap. Led by parent investment firm Lilium Capital, Vista plans to expand into five additional African markets by 2030 while exploring international banking hubs in China and Singapore to capture Asia-Africa trade flows.
