Ghana’s Apprise Music Secures GH¢600,000 Grant at Orange Inspire Pitch Competition
Ghanian music distribution and rights management platform Apprise Music & Media wins non-dilutive capital through the Orange Inspire Fidelity Cultural and Creative Challenge to scale digital infrastructure for independent creators.
ACCRA — Apprise Music & Media, a leading Ghanaian music distribution and publishing administration company, has won GH¢600,000 (approximately $52,000) in grant support through the Orange Inspire Creative Ultimate Pitch 2026.
The final pitch event took place on September 11, 2026, at Palms by Eagles in Accra, featuring select entrepreneurs from across Ghana’s creative and cultural economy. The initiative is backed by Orange, Fidelity Bank Ghana, ALX, and UNESCO Ghana.
Scaling Rights Administration and Creator Infrastructure
Founded to streamline music distribution, royalty collection, and catalog management for African artists, producers, and independent labels, Apprise Music presented a growth model focused on maximizing long-term monetization for local rights holders.
- Capital Allocation: The grant funding will be deployed across three primary pillars: artist and catalog growth, expanding the base of paying creators, and increasing the volume of monetizable audiovisual assets.
- Operational Upgrades: Planned expenditures include acquiring specialized equipment for catalog administration and short-form video production, optimizing metadata systems, and scaling creator onboarding and release marketing.
"This support gives us additional capacity to improve how we manage releases, metadata, rights and catalogue assets," said Michael Bamfo, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Apprise Music & Media. "It will also help us serve more creators, develop stronger music and audiovisual assets, and build practical systems that allow African rights holders to benefit from the long-term value of their work."
The Orange Inspire programme provides participating enterprises with targeted business development, training, and mentorship alongside non-dilutive financial support to bridge structural financing gaps in Africa’s creative industries.
