  • Network Scale: The platform currently reaches a registered network of over 60,000 smallholder farmers across Ghana.
  • Input-Credit Model: Through WamiCredit, farmers receive certified seeds, crop protection products, fertilizers, and mechanization services on credit, with loan amortization linked directly to post-harvest crop deliveries.
  • Digital Ecosystem: The company utilizes its proprietary digital platform, Pukpara, to manage end-to-end logistics, verify field-level agronomic data, track input distributions, and maintain supply chain traceability for institutional off-takers, including commercial food manufacturers and animal feed processors.

Gender Inclusion & Climate Resilience Strategy

The transaction aligns with Sahara Impact Ventures' mandate as an active gender-lens and climate-focused fund manager:

  • Gender Participation Targets: By October 2026, Wami Agro has served approximately 6,500 core farmersacross its intensive growth programs, 55% of whom are women. Under the expansion roadmap, SIV and Wami Agro aim to scale women’s network representation to at least 65% by 2028.
  • Climate Adaptation: Wami Agro's field initiatives incorporate climate-smart agronomy, such as introducing early-maturing, drought-tolerant sorghum varieties in northern Ghana coupled with guaranteed commercial off-take agreements with Guinness Ghana.
  • Long-Term Scaling Roadmap: Wami Agro targets scaling its active footprint to ~428,000 farmers by 2030 and 700,000+ farmers by 2031, with project models projecting the generation of 1,750+ direct and indirect jobsacross procurement, quality assurance, warehousing, and logistics.
